Fostering capacities of the Agency for the Prevention of Corruption
Representatives of the Lithuanian Special Investigation Service (STT) visited the Agency for the Prevention of Corruption as part of a mission to share experiences on youth education and engagement in corruption prevention. This visit marks the first of three planned meetings intended for the preparation of the public awareness activities on the prevention of corruption. Director of the Agency Mr. Dejan Damnjanović thanked the Lithuanian delegation for their expertise and the presentation on effective campaign strategies in this field, emphasizing the importance of raising anti-corruption awareness.
Earlier in December and January, the Austrian Development Agency, together with the International Anti-Corruption Academy (IACA), organized two training sessions engaging 36 participants for the Agency for the Prevention of Corruption and for the Anti-Corruption Council. The workshops “Stakeholders in anti-corruption initiatives” and "Managing Conflict of Interest and Best Comparative Practices" on managing conflicts of interest and stakeholder roles in anti-corruption efforts, included theoretical insights and best practices, fostering dynamic discussions on enhancing Serbia’s anti-corruption framework.
The activities were implemented within the "Facility Supporting Strengthening Rule of Law in Serbia", co-funded by the EU, Germany and Austria, and implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, Austrian Development Agency, Central Project Management Agency from Lithuania, and the OSCE Mission to Serbia.
